The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the posting of DIG Mohammed Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration.
DIG Dankwara takes over from DIG Abubakar Yahaya, who recently retired from the Nigeria Police Force after more than three decades of distinguished and meritorious service.
Before his elevation, Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he was noted for his exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
Confirming the deployment, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the posting aligns with the IGP’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational and administrative efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to him, “The Inspector-General of Police congratulates DIG Mohammed Dankwara on his new assignment and expresses confidence in his capacity to bring his wealth of experience to bear in advancing the administrative functions of the Force.”
He added that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to enhancing safety and security through strategic leadership placements and performance-driven reforms.
