The Nigeria Police Force has begun disciplinary hearings for 151 senior officers accused of various acts of misconduct.
According to Force PRO, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, “The internal review, which started on Monday, July 14, will run until Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
“The officers, all from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and above, are appearing before the Force Disciplinary Committee (FDC), which will review each case and forward recommendations to the Police Service Commission..
Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, said the Force will not tolerate indiscipline, adding that integrity and accountability remain central to police reform efforts.
This process reaffirms the NPF’s commitment to ethical conduct and public trust. Officers must uphold the law — and be accountable under it.
