President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to commence on Thursday.

According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President was received at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport by Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, alongside Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu.

Other dignitaries on hand to receive the President included the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna; and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare.

Onanuga noted that the Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), has evolved into the continent’s largest annual gathering of private sector leaders, policymakers, and investors, with a focus on economic transformation, regional integration, and cross-border investment.

The theme for this year’s edition is: “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

President Tinubu is expected to speak at the forum on the topic, “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the impact and gains of the ongoing economic reforms being implemented by his administration.

The President is also scheduled to hold high-level bilateral meetings with African and global business leaders as part of efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships and attract greater investment into Nigeria.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu will use the summit to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, regional economic cooperation, and private sector-driven sustainable development across the continent.

The Africa CEO Forum is expected to attract leading chief executives, investors, development institutions, and government officials from across Africa and beyond.
