Lagos State Government has declared that it has not released the results of the CBT examinations screening test into any of its model colleges, urging parents and wards to disregard any online publications purporting same.
In a statement by the Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Basic Education, Kayode Sutton, Government urged parents of candidates who sat for the ,CBT examinations screening test to disregard online reports on the release of cut-off marks for any of the colleges as fake.
The statement described online reports that candidates who scored the required cut-off marks of 50% at any of the state’s model colleges/upgraded junior secondary schools will be offered merit admission upon decision by the examinations board as fictitious and fraudulent.
“The Ministry hereby state unequivocally that the purported publication/information is fake, fraudulent and did not emanate from the State Government or any of its Agencies.
“The Permanent Secretary advised those seeking admission into the State’s Model Colleges/Upgraded Schools to watch out for Official Announcement from appropriate quarters of the State Government.” The statement said.
The Ministry warned parent, students and guardians to be wary of fraudsters and impostors, as the state does not engage in clandestine admission process into these Schools.
