The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has announced that it will commence strict enforcement against indiscriminate parking on Lagos roads starting Monday, July 28, 2025, as part of efforts to decongest traffic, improve safety, and promote an organized urban environment.

Speaking during the July edition of the monthly fitness walk organized by the Office of the Head of Service, Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, revealed that the enforcement exercise would begin within the State Secretariat in Alausa and the Old Secretariat in Ikeja before expanding to other areas.

He stressed that achieving a disciplined parking culture is critical to sustaining a “Greater Lagos.”Reinforcing the directive, the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mrs. Olasunkanmi Oyegbola, urged civil servants to comply with parking regulations and encourage others to do the same.

“No one caught violating parking rules should contact the Office of the Head of Service or the Permanent Secretary for assistance,” she warned.

General Manager of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, emphasized that proper parking practices will reduce congestion, make roads safer for motorists and pedestrians, and boost business activities.

“We are committed to establishing a model parking culture in Lagos and will not tolerate any act of non-compliance,” she stated, urging all Lagosians to adhere strictly to the State’s parking regulations.
