The Lagos State Government has sealed Ashley Mall in Ajah and Better Mart on Badore Road for breaching the State’s Transportation, Urban, and Regional Planning Development Laws.
The joint enforcement was carried out by the Governor’s Monitoring Team, State Taskforce, LASBCA, LAGESC, and LASPA to ensure full compliance with regulations.LASPA General Manager, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, said the exercise was part of a coordinated, multi-agency approach to urban mobility and followed the Governor’s directive.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enforcing parking, building, and environmental laws, warning that any attempt to obstruct officials will face the full weight of the law.
Before sealing the premises, task force officers ensured all occupants and customers vacated the shopping centres, while LASBCA demolished illegal attachments.
This action follows last week’s assault on LASPA officials during a routine compliance check at one of the malls.
