The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated 1,000 pairs of police boots to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) to boost the unit’s operational efficiency and personnel welfare.
The donation, according to a post on the official social media handle of the Rapid Response Squad, was made on behalf of the Fund’s Executive Secretary, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, by the LSSTF Director of Administration, Mr Adegbola Lewis. The items were received by the Commander of the RRS, CSP Shola Jejeloye.
The latest support comes barely three weeks after the Trust Fund donated patrol vehicles to the squad, underscoring its sustained commitment to strengthening the capacity, readiness and effectiveness of security operations in Lagos State.
The post further recalled that the LSSTF had, late last year, supported the squad with the donation of batteries, tyres and uniform materials, among other logistics.
In his remarks, CSP Jejeloye expressed appreciation to the Trust Fund and assured that the donated materials would be put to judicious use to further enhance the efficiency of the squad.
