Following Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ sentencing decision, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura has reacted to the rapper being put away for a total of four years.
Just moments after Diddy found out his fate, Cassie’s attorney Doug Wigdor released a statement which read, “While nothing can undo the trauma caused by Combs, the sentence imposed today recognizes the impact of the serious offenses he committed.
“We are confident that with the support of her family and friends, Ms Ventura will continue healing, knowing that her bravery and her fortitude have been an inspiration to so many.”
Diddy, 55, was charged with transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, and racketeering conspiracy, but only found guilty on two prostitution charges.
Throughout the trial, the jurors heard testimony from his ex-girlfriend Cassie, who filed the initial civil lawsuit against him in November 2023.
The matter was settled out of court within 24 hours with no admission of wrongdoing.Nonetheless, Cassie worked with federal investigators as they built their case against Diddy.
In fact, during the trial, his attorney’s conceded to domestic violence, but emphasized that was not inherently equatable to sex trafficking.
