A coalition of civil society organisations under the aegis of the Democracy and Good Governance Watch Initiative (DGGWI) has congratulated the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Hon. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, on his appointment as the Lagos State Coordinator of the Support Group Directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement signed by the Conveners of the group, Gbenga Soloki; Co-Convener, Nelson Ekujumi; and Co-Convener, Ajayi Popoola, the coalition described Ayinde as a dependable administrator, loyal party member and quiet achiever who has distinguished himself through effective service.
The group said Ayinde had played a significant role in the administration of Lagos State as Chief of Staff, describing him as an administrator whose contributions were often measured by results rather than publicity.
According to DGGWI, Ayinde’s experience, discipline, charisma and understanding of Lagos politics would be valuable in coordinating the various support groups under the campaign structure.
The coalition expressed confidence that he would effectively mobilise and coordinate the groups towards achieving a strong outcome for the party in Lagos State.
“Lagos, as the Centre of Excellence, has always led, and with Hon. Ayinde at the helm of this directorate, we are confident that the state will once again set the standards in the campaigns,” the coalition said.
DGGWI also commended the leadership of the Campaign Council for what it described as an excellent choice, adding that Ayinde’s appointment would bring his wealth of administrative and political experience to the campaign structure.
The coalition wished Ayinde success in his new assignment and expressed confidence in his ability to discharge the responsibilities effectively.
