The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has is to begin the enumeration of all public and private primary and secondary schools across the state from Monday, November 17 to Friday, November 28, 2025.
The exercise is designed to generate accurate and reliable real-time data to support effective planning and targeted interventions in the education sector.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Abiola Dokunmu-Adegbite, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday.
She appealed for the cooperation of school owners, administrators, teachers and pupils to ensure the success of the statewide exercise.
According to her, trained enumerators will visit schools to collect vital information, including enrolment figures, available facilities, staffing levels and learners’ demographic data.
Dokunmu-Adegbite noted that the data gathered will guide the implementation of state and national education policies and help ensure compliance with international standards.
She added that the comprehensive enumeration aligns with the Lagos State Government’s THEME+ Agenda, which prioritises improved quality of education across the state.
