The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has expressed appreciation to stakeholders and members of the public for the commendations and constructive feedback received over its recent activities and overall performance.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Director of Public Affairs, LASTMA, Taofiq Adebayo, said the agency was grateful for the time, goodwill and discernment shown by Lagosians in sharing their views on traffic management operations across the state.
“The feedback received has been overwhelmingly constructive and affirming. It serves not only as a source of encouragement but also as a strategic guide that highlights areas requiring further institutional strengthening and performance enhancement,” Adebayo said.
He noted that while the agency acknowledged areas where lapses had previously occurred, LASTMA remained resolute in its commitment to continuous operational improvement, professionalism and service delivery in line with global best practices.
Adebayo also conveyed the agency’s appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, and the leadership of the Ministry of Transportation (MOT) for their policy direction and unwavering support.
“Their visionary leadership and guidance continue to provide the momentum that drives our mandate and strengthens our resolve to serve Lagosians with integrity and efficiency,” he stated.
Commending LASTMA officers for their dedication, Adebayo said personnel of the agency had demonstrated exceptional resilience and professionalism by working tirelessly, often under strenuous and high-pressure conditions, to ensure traffic orderliness and safeguard lives across the metropolis.
He further thanked the general public for their cooperation and high level of compliance, particularly during the Ember Months and the recent Detty December festivities, noting that such civic responsibility significantly contributed to improved traffic flow during peak periods.
Adebayo assured residents and stakeholders that the continued support and constructive engagement would further motivate the agency to deliver more efficient, responsive and people-centred traffic management services in Lagos State.
