The Lagos State Government has arrested a man for vandalising public infrastructure at Peace Park, Ojota, in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, the suspect, identified as Hammed Abdulkareem, was apprehended around 5:00 a.m. while attempting to steal wire mesh from the park’s perimeter fence.
Wahab, who made the announcement on his official X handle (@tokunbo_wahab), said Abdulkareem was immediately taken into custody by enforcement officers.
He has since been transferred to the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) office for processing and will be prosecuted in line with the law.
