The Lagos State Government has taken another bold step toward smarter education
Through the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), mobile devices have been distributed to public school teachers across the six education districts to enhance teaching efficiency and promote digital learning.
According to Princess Adebopo-Ismail Oyekan, Permanent Secretary of TESCOM (representing the Chairman, Mrs. Victoria Peregrino), the initiative will empower teachers to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology for more interactive, engaging, and effective classroom experiences.
She added that the devices will help teachers “learn, unlearn, and relearn,” equipping them with essential digital skills for 21st-century teaching.
Tutor-Generals and education leaders praised the move, describing it as a game-changer that will transform public school teaching and learning across Lagos State.
