Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Moshood Jimoh, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure and creating a conducive working environment that promotes effective policing, enhanced public service delivery, and community safety across the state.
He made the remarks during the commissioning of a newly constructed Access Gate and other facilities at the Ikeja Divisional Headquarters, a move aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and improving security coordination within the command.
The new access gate is designed to streamline entry and exit for personnel and visitors to the Ikeja Police Station and adjoining departments. Previously, the Division and Area F Command shared a single access point, which often caused congestion and operational confusion.
Commending CSP Akinwunmi Oke, the Divisional Police Officer of Ikeja, for his foresight and dedication, CP Jimoh said: “This new access gate will greatly facilitate movement, enhance operational coordination, and strengthen security within Ikeja Division and its environs.”
He emphasized that infrastructure upgrades like this form part of the Lagos State Police Command’s broader strategy to modernize policing, improve public service delivery, and foster community safety.
“We remain committed to creating an enabling environment for officers to perform optimally while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the public we serve,”
Jimoh added.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by senior officers including DCP Khan Salihu (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration), ACP Paul Okafor (Area Commander, Area F), CSP Tunji Alapini (SPU Commander, Base 16), and DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi (Deputy Police Public Relations Officer).
