The former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party. Mark was announced on Tuesday as the Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, which is made up of opposition politicians who are working against the reelection of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress from power in 2027. Operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team of the Delta State Police Command have launched a crackdown on suspected kidnappers and ‘one-chance’ syndicates in parts of the state, during which assorted firearms and sophisticated mobile phones were recovered. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested 74 suspected internet fraudsters in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The suspects were apprehended on Monday, at Joyous Hotel in Nyanya, a suburb of the capital city, following credible intelligence linking them to internet-related crimes. A 23-year-old man, Thank-God Elufo, has allegedly stabbed himself to death behind Nwodo estate in Ajaji (Bonsaac) layout area of Asaba, the Delta State.
