…Promises Sustainable Developmental Economic Policies
The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has strongly condemned the Tinubu-led administration’s sudden 70,000 Naira transport intervention for Nigerian workers, describing it as a deceptive act of “vote buying by trick” ahead of the upcoming elections.
In a statement signed on Wednesday by his campaign’s Chief Media and Communications Adviser, Mark Adebayo, the SDP flagbearer questioned the sincerity of the federal government’s sudden “Greek gift.” He lambasted the administration for offering a temporary 90-day palliative, noting that it is a calculated political gimmick designed to hoodwink voters before abandoning them to return to their severe economic suffering immediately after the polls.
“This fire-brigade approach to governance is proof that the APC administration completely lacks sustainable ideas for Nigeria’s development,” Adebayo stated.
“Instead of building enduring infrastructure and creating systemic wealth, they resort to confusionist actions and short-term bribes that only serve to further entrench Nigerians in multidimensional poverty once the election cycle is over.”
The SDP presidential candidate reiterated that if elected, his administration will permanently depart from these reactionary policies. He pledged a comprehensive economic overhaul aimed at paying Nigerian workers a true, sustainable living wage, effectively turning the economic fortunes of the country around, and drastically increasing the purchasing power of every citizen.
Concluding the statement, the candidate reaffirmed that his blueprint, titled “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity,” holds all the magic wands required for Nigeria’s revolutionary transformation, promising a future anchored on real progress, security, and lasting prosperity for all Nigerians.
“I have the best plans for the total and complete socioeconomic transformation of Nigeria and I am the best prepared and capable among all the presidential candidates,” the statement concluded.
