Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, will deliver the keynote lecture at the second Lagos Physical Planning Summit, scheduled for Thursday, October 21 and 22, 2026, at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The biennial summit provides a platform for government, the private sector, development partners, professional bodies, academia and other stakeholders to deliberate on physical planning and development issues affecting Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
The summit, themed “Diagnosis to Delivery: Positioning Lagos for Strategic Regional Development and Priority Investment Agenda,” is designed to strengthen the link between physical planning, development implementation, investment and the strategic development of Lagos State and the South-West region.
According to the organisers, Bamidele’s keynote lecture will be a major feature of the two-day event, offering a broader perspective on the issues to be discussed at the summit.
The organisers added that the preparation of the Lagos Regional Master Plan would feature prominently in the discussions, reflecting the state’s commitment to coordinated regional planning and development.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is expected to declare the summit open.
Bamidele is expected to draw on his years of legislative experience at the National Assembly and his background as a former commissioner in Lagos State to address issues relating to physical planning, regional development and investment.
