In a renewed effort to decongest Lagos roads and instill proper parking culture, the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has embarked on a targeted enforcement operation across key areas in Ikeja, the state capital.
The exercise, which covered high-traffic zones such as Computer Village, Allen Avenue, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, GRA Ikeja, and the White House Event Centre on Billings Way, aimed to eliminate indiscriminate and illegal parking practices that have long contributed to gridlock and pedestrian inconvenience.
LASPA officials, during the operation, reiterated the agency’s commitment to enforcing State Parking Regulations across all parts of Lagos.
Motorists were warned to adhere strictly to approved parking standards or face penalties, as no area will be exempt from the ongoing clampdown.
The authority emphasized that its goal is not only to ease traffic flow but also to promote discipline and safety in the use of public spaces within the state.
