The Lagos State Police Command has assured residents of adequate security measures following reports of a planned disruption on the Third Mainland Bridge by some youths in the Oworonshoki area of the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Adebisi Abimbola, said police personnel have been fully deployed to maintain law and order, ensure public safety, and prevent any obstruction of movement across the state.
“Our officers are fully deployed to ensure the safety of all road users and to prevent any form of obstruction or breach of the peace,” Adebisi stated.
She urged members of the public to go about their lawful activities without fear, while advising them to cooperate with security personnel performing their duties.
Adebisi reiterated that the Command remains committed to protecting lives and property, and to ensuring the free flow of traffic throughout Lagos State.
