The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has intensified its day and night patrol operations across major parts of the state as the festive season approaches.
In a statement posted on its official social media handle, the squad said the renewed deployment follows the directive of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Moshood Jimoh, to strengthen security presence and deter criminal activities during the yuletide period.
According to the update, RRS operatives on Thursday embarked on extensive convoy patrols across Agege, Egbeda, Idimu, Isheri, Igando, Ikotun, Ejigbo, Isolo, Ojuelegba, Idi Araba, Yaba, Jibowu, Anthony, Maryland and adjoining communities.
The operation is being led by the RRS Commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye, in collaboration with officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA).
The squad urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities, noting that its emergency toll-free numbers, 112 and 767, remain active round the clock.
“Help us keep our communities safe. If you see something, say something,” the statement added.
