‎‎Former Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Government, Otunba Samuel Olukunle Ojo, has paid glowing tribute to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a visionary leader whose legacy of service and reform continues to shape Nigeria’s development trajectory.

‎‎In a statement marking the President’s birthday, Ojo said Tinubu’s life reflects “a story of sacrifice, resilience and an enduring belief in the promise of Nigeria.”

‎‎“I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a visionary leader… a leader whose courage, foresight and unwavering commitment to nation-building continue to shape the destiny of our great country,” he said.‎‎

Reflecting on his time working with Tinubu during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, Ojo noted that the experience offered him rare insight into the President’s leadership style.‎‎

“Having had the rare privilege of working closely with you during your tenure as Governor of Lagos State, I witnessed firsthand your exceptional leadership, your strategic insight and your remarkable ability to discover and nurture talent,” he stated.‎‎

Ojo credited Tinubu with laying the foundation for Lagos State’s transformation into a model of governance and economic growth, noting that the reforms initiated during his administration remain impactful.‎‎

“You laid the foundation for the transformation of Lagos into a model of governance, bold reforms and economic growth, a legacy that continues to stand the test of time,” he added.‎‎

He further described Tinubu’s political journey from Lagos to the presidency as a testament to decades of commitment to democratic ideals and progressive governance.‎‎

“Your journey from Lagos to the presidency is a testament to a lifetime devoted to democratic ideals, progressive governance and national development,” Ojo said.‎‎

Amid current national challenges, Ojo expressed confidence in the President’s leadership, noting that his resilience continues to inspire hope among citizens.‎‎“Even in challenging times, your resolve remains unshaken, inspiring confidence and renewing hope among Nigerians who look to your leadership for direction and stability,” he said.‎‎

He concluded by celebrating not only the President’s age but also the lasting impact of his public service.‎‎“On this special occasion, we celebrate not just your years, but the enduring impact of your service,” Ojo added.
