President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as Director of Fundraising for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abiodun’s appointment was contained in the list of members of the campaign council released on Saturday.

President Tinubu will serve as Chairman of the council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, will serve as Vice Chairmen.

Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, was named Director-General, while Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, will serve as Secretary.

The APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman were named Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively.

The campaign council also includes a team of advisers comprising Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, former APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni were named Deputy Directors-General for the campaign in the South and North, alongside Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and Senator Jibril Barau.

Senator Adams Oshiomhole will serve as Deputy Director-General in charge of Mobilisation, while the President’s Chief of Staff will serve as Deputy Director-General for Administration.

James Abiodun Faleke, who played a prominent role in the 2022/2023 presidential campaign, was named Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring.

Faleke will work with zonal directors, including Senator Olushola Adeyeye for the South-West, Dr Ngozi Olejeme for the South-South, Senator Uche Ekwunife for the South-East, Muntaqha Rabe for the North-West, Ahmed Muhammed Ketso for the North-Central and Senator Sani Danladi for the North-East.

Muiz Adeyemi Banire will head the Legal Directorate, with Dr Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala as deputies.

The Media and Strategic Communication Directorate will be coordinated by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu.

Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala and Felix Morka will serve as Coordinating Deputy Directors in the directorate.

Segun Dada was named Director of New Media, a position he also held during the 2022 campaign, while Solomon Arowolo will serve as Secretary, New Media.

The council also named five spokespersons, led by Dele Alake. Others are Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu and Adamu Fanda.

President Tinubu charged members of the campaign council to work tirelessly to secure victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.

He also urged leaders of the various directorates to reach out to other party members who might not have been formally listed, encouraging them to contribute to the campaign effort.

According to the President, the APC-led Federal Government has delivered on its campaign promises and placed Nigeria on the path of economic progress. He urged members of the council to communicate the administration’s achievements and inspire confidence among Nigerians ahead of the elections.

The statement was signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on August 22, 2026.
