The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) has sealed off a property at No. 11, Major Bolaji Ariyo Street, Off Afoluke Avenue, TPDC Estate, Lekki, Eti-Osa, following confirmed reports of deliberate wastewater discharge into the environment.
According to the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who disclosed the action via his official X handle @tokunbo_wahab today, the enforcement followed a public complaint raised by a concerned resident.
The property was found to be causing environmental pollution, public nuisance, and posing risks to human health through improper disposal of wastewater.
Wahab reaffirmed that the Lagos State Government will not tolerate environmental violations, stressing that its priority remains to safeguard public health, protect the environment, and ensure that Lagos continues to be a clean, safe, and livable city for all.
