Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has appealed to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain calm and united amid the ongoing leadership crisis rocking the party at the national level.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor described the dispute as an internal family matter that would soon be resolved.
Governor Adeleke noted that stakeholders within the PDP are already making efforts to restore peace and reposition the party for future electoral victories.
“I urge all members of our party, the PDP, to remain calm and steadfast. We are cruising to victory next year and must remain committed to rebuilding this party for renewed landslide victory,” Adeleke said.
He reassured party members that the disagreements at the national level were temporary and being handled through dialogue and reconciliation.
“The ongoing disagreement within the party at the national level is a family affair, and I want to assure all members, both at the state and national levels, that it will soon be resolved. All stakeholders are committed to the unity and progress of our great party,” he added.
Adeleke also directed PDP leaders across local government areas and wards in Osun to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2026 governorship election, expressing confidence in the PDP’s strength and prospects.
“I hereby direct all party leaders across wards and local governments to begin massive mobilisation for our party ahead of the 2026 governorship election. We are the party to beat, and our party will come out stronger and better,” the governor stated.
