The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, as the winner of the 2025 Governorship Election.
The declaration was made on Sunday by the State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, at the INEC headquarters in Awka, the state capital.
Announcing the results, Omoregie said Soludo polled a total of 422,664 votes to defeat his closest rival, Nicholas Nkachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 99,445 votes.
“I hereby declare that Soludo Chukwuma Charles of the APGA, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” Omoregie said.
