The Nigeria Police Force has passed out 10,000 newly trained Constables following the successful completion of their intensive training across various Police Colleges and Training Institutions nationwide.
The Passing Out Parade, which held simultaneously on October 7, 2025, marks another significant stride in the Force’s drive to strengthen its manpower and enhance operational capacity in line with international policing standards.
In his address to the new officers, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the recruits for their perseverance and dedication throughout the demanding training period.
He charged them to uphold the values of honour, diligence, and patriotism instilled during their course, emphasizing that professionalism and integrity remain the bedrock of effective policing.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, the recruits underwent extensive instruction in modern policing techniques, ethical standards, and practical field operations designed to prepare them for the complex realities of 21st-century law enforcement.
Hundeyin explained that the training curriculum focused on community partnership, intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights, and judicious use of authority, all aimed at strengthening public trust and fostering a people-centered police service.
“The passing out of this new set of constables is part of the Force’s strategic manpower development plan under the current administration. It is aimed at boosting security presence, improving response time, and reinforcing public safety across the nation,” Hundeyin said.
He recalled that another batch of 10,000 constables graduated earlier in January 2025, underscoring the sustained commitment of the Police leadership to addressing manpower gaps and deepening professionalism within the ranks.
Hundeyin added that the Inspector-General reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to continuous training, welfare improvement, and institutional reforms to sustain the gains of modern policing and ensure a safer and more secure Nigeria for all.
