The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has called on traditional rulers across the country to strengthen collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force in promoting inclusivity and intelligence-led policing at the grassroots.
Egbetokun made the call on Wednesday at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, while hosting a delegation of traditional rulers led by the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, accompanied by other monarchs including the Ataoja of Osogbo, Olu of Ilaro, Oloro of Oro, and Olusin of Ijora Isin.
He emphasised that traditional institutions remain pivotal in achieving sustainable peace, security, and community development.
The IGP also received the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Michal Cygan, and representatives of W-B Group, a Polish security solutions firm, to discuss the integration of advanced communication platforms aimed at enhancing the Force’s ICT capabilities.
Reaffirming his commitment, Egbetokun pledged to maintain robust partnerships with stakeholders to build a professional, technology-driven, and proactive Police Force capable of effectively combating crime nationwide.
