Speaking during the presentation, Agoro expressed confidence in Gbaye’s competence and capacity to effectively discharge the responsibilities of her new office.
The Head of Service urged her to remain dedicated, diligent and selfless in the performance of her duties, stressing the need for purposeful leadership and strict adherence to professional standards.
Agoro said the appointment reflected the confidence reposed in Gbaye by Governor Sanwo-Olu and charged her to justify the trust through effective leadership and improved service delivery.
He also urged the new General Manager to continue to uphold best practices while strengthening regulatory compliance within the building sector.
The government said Gbaye’s professional experience positioned her to contribute to efforts aimed at promoting safe, sustainable and orderly urban development across Lagos State.
The appointment also underscores the importance of effective building control and compliance in ensuring that developments across the state meet required safety and structural standards.
With her confirmation as substantive General Manager, Gbaye is expected to build on the progress recorded during her tenure in an acting capacity and further advance the agency’s regulatory responsibilities.
