The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will commence nationwide on Wednesday, August 5, with the three-week exercise scheduled to end on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The scheme disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, saying the orientation programme would be held simultaneously in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the statement, prospective corps members can now access their Call-up Numbers through their dashboards, while Call-up Letters will be released in due course.
“Call-up Numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective Corps Members, while Call-up Letters will be made available in due course,” the statement said.
The Director-General of the NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service year on successfully completing their studies in higher institutions within and outside Nigeria.
“He congratulates all prospective Corps Members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Service Year on the successful completion of their studies in higher institutions within and outside Nigeria, which has qualified them for national service,” the statement added.
Nafiu also advised prospective corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling to their respective orientation camps.
“He wishes them a safe journey to their respective Orientation Camps and strongly advises them to avoid travelling at night. The Director-General also urges them to strictly adhere to all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journey to the camps,” the statement said.
The announcement follows the conclusion of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course, which was held nationwide from June 10 to June 30. In Niger State, however, the exercise was rescheduled and held from July 7 to July 27 at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, after the state’s orientation camp was damaged.
