Former Anambra State Governor, Mr Willie Obiano, has dismissed a rumour circulating about his purported death, assuring the public that he is alive and in excellent health.
Obiano, in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Friday, said the false report had generated unnecessary concern among his supporters and well-wishers.
Addressing “my beloved Ndi Anambra, friends, and well-wishers,” the former governor moved quickly to dispel the speculation.
“Let me assure you personally: I am alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health. By the special grace of God, I am doing very well,” he stated.
Obiano expressed disappointment over the circulation of what he described as “falsehood simply for reasons yet to be established,” but maintained that he remained unfazed, adding that “we will continue to rise above such mischief.”
He also thanked those who reached out with calls, messages and prayers after the rumour surfaced.
“To everyone who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers, I sincerely appreciate your concern. Your love and goodwill mean more than words can express,” he said.
Obiano urged the public to disregard the rumour entirely, reaffirming his commitment to staying focused and guided by God’s grace.
“Please disregard the rumour entirely. We remain focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace,” he added.
