Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State will on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, unveil 420 newly completed home units at the Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase 1, in Badagry.
The new housing development, according to the State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, will increase the stock of quality homes in the state and provide accommodation for over 2,000 residents.
Speaking during a media chat with reporters in his office on Tuesday, Akinderu-Fatai explained that the estate comprises one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, designed to meet the diverse needs of Lagosians.
He noted that the Ajara Housing Estate is part of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to completing all ongoing housing projects across the state and delivering affordable, decent, and accessible homes to the people.
“The aim is to provide affordable and quality housing in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s promise to complete all ongoing housing projects in Lagos,” the commissioner said.
Akinderu-Fatai expressed delight at the completion of the project, describing it as a boost to the socio-economic development of the Badagry community.
The commissioner also appreciated the patience and trust of prospective homeowners, urging interested subscribers to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry of Housing at Block 3, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, for genuine enquiries.
He warned the public against dealing with unauthorized agents or swindlers, emphasizing that the Ministry does not engage intermediaries in the sale of its housing units.
