The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has commissioned a state-of-the-art police mechanical workshop equipped with facilities and technology.
Egbetokun seized the opportunity of the commissioning to warn all individuals and groups threatening the peace and tranquillity of the country that the “Nigeria Police Force is coming for them and will proactively, strategically, swiftly and without hesitation run them out of town.”
In a statement by the Force Public Relations officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the commissioning is vital to ensuring that officers of the Force are adequately equipped and prepared to confront security challenges, enhancing their effectiveness in serving and protecting the public.
Adejobi said “The IGP today commissioned a state-of-the-art Police Mechanical Workshop equipped with cutting edge facilities and technology. This is a critical support unit of the Force which would ensure the optimal working condition of operational vehicles, enabling timely responses to emergencies and effective police operations.
“This support unit, located at Dei-Dei, Abuja, would maintain operational readiness of all tactical and operational vehicles, minimizing downtime and ensuring mobility during critical operations.”
“The Inspector-General of Police also commissioned 40 tactical and operational vehicles, including anti-riot water cannon trucks, and Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), at the Force Headquarters Abuja, further augmenting the arsenal of the Force, boosting its operational efficiency.” He said.
He added “The Inspector-General of Police, while reassuring members of the public that the Police Force remains committed to responding effectively to any and all security threats, warns all individuals and groups threatening the peace and tranquillity of the country that the Nigeria Police Force is coming for them and will proactively, strategically, swiftly and without hesitation run them out of town.”
