The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday announced the commencement of examination slip printing for candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB urged candidates to visit the board’s official website to download their examination slips, which contain vital information including the venue, date, and time of the test.
According to the board, the slip is also required for entry into the examination hall.
“Examination Slip Printing is now available. The slip contains details of the venue, date, and time of your examination and gives you access to the examination hall,” JAMB said in a statement.
Candidates are required to log on to www.jamb.gov.ng and click on the “2026 Slip Printing” portal to complete the process.
The announcement follows the circulation of a false press release claiming the UTME had been postponed. JAMB described the notice as “malicious and fake,” urging candidates to disregard it.
“We want to assure all candidates that the 2026 UTME will go ahead as scheduled from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026. Candidates should ignore any unverified notices circulating online,” the board added.
This year’s examination follows a nationwide mock test conducted on Saturday, March 28, which faced technical challenges at some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
Of the 224,597 candidates registered for the mock, 152,586 participated across 989 centres. JAMB has since delisted over 20 centres for failing to meet technical standards.
The board also cautioned candidates against fraudsters on social media platforms such as WhatsApp, claiming to facilitate score inflation or special assistance.
“Such claims are false and criminal. Any candidate found attempting to manipulate scores or engaging with fraudsters risks cancellation of registration or withholding of results,” JAMB warned.
The board encouraged candidates to monitor its official platforms for updates and to verify any information received from unofficial sources.
“Candidates are advised to rely only on official JAMB channels for information regarding the UTME to ensure smooth participation,” the board concluded.
