The Super Eagles are eyeing a place in the semifinals after a dominant showing in the Round of 16 and a tense build‑up off the pitch.
The three‑time continental champions sealed their spot in the last eight with a comprehensive 4–0 victory over Mozambique in Fès, extending their perfect run at the tournament.
The build‑up to Saturday’s high‑stakes encounter has been clouded by controversy over unpaid bonuses, with reports of player unrest and threats to boycott training or travel.
However, there have been assurances on the part of the Federal Government that the bonuses would be paid before the match on Saturday.
