The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Gubernatorial candidate in 2024 election in Ondo State, Olugbenga Edema, has resigned from the party citing internal wranglings that have plagued the party since he joined the party in June 2024.
In his resignation letter dated May 9, 2025, Edema expressed disappointment with the party’s leadership, which he claimed had frustrated his case in court against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate by withdrawing from the suit.
